Lily is the Co-Chair of Tories for Climate Action. She works as a Parliamentary Researcher and is the Conservative Women's Organisation Officer for Wandsworth and Merton. Through her work, she seeks to promote free-market solutions to environmental problems. A key area of interest is international collaboration, including how to promote more effective environmental protections through international organisations and tying standards to both bilateral and multilateral trade agreements. She has a degree in Politics & International Relations.
Will is a passionate proponent of pro-business solutions to environmental degradation and climate change. He is currently reading Economics at the London School of Economics, and is the Youth Ambassador for the Conservative Environment Network. Will currently sits on the Civil Society and Youth Advisory Group for COP26, chaired by Rt Hon Alok Sharma MP. Having a key interest in sustainable finance, Will focuses a lot of his work on establishing how government policy can be used to incentivise finance-sector investment behind decarbonisation and improve ESG standards.
Tania is an NHS doctor with medicine, science and counselling degrees; a former UN refugee worker, local councillor and MP for Twickenham from 2015 to 2017. In Parliament, she chose to make her maiden speech in the debate on Climate Change. She was then elected as a member and interim chair of the House of Commons Science and Technology Select Committee and was the only MP in that Parliament, in 2017, to directly challenge the then Prime Minister on our preparedness for a pandemic. Throughout and after her time in Parliament she has advocated data and evidence in the inter-dependent goals to decrease pollution, improve health, and promote our economy with support for businesses, particularly in science and technology.
Oliver is a Conservative councillor and the Leader of the Opposition on Camden Council. He brings a breadth of knowledge and expertise in national and local policy, and is a professional economist, working as Head of Policy for an international law firm. As a councillor, he has led campaigns for more electric vehicles, to reduce emissions from gas boilers, and to improve both the energy and cost efficiency of the council. Oliver will direct the policy work we do to identify, develop, and promote effective free-market solutions to environmental issues.
Marc has a wealth of experience in the world of Conservative environmentalism. He has previously worked for the Conservative Party, and more recently was the Conservative candidate for Nottingham South in the 2019 General Election. A professional fundraiser for non-profits, he brings with him a contagious passion for tackling environmental issues, in particular ocean conservation, while advocating for our approach to be in tandem with other key Conservative objectives. Marc is also the Oceans Ambassador for the Conservative Environment Network.
Michael is a Foreign Policy and National Security expert, serving as an Associate Fellow with the Royal United Services Institute (RUSI). With many years of experience working in some of the world’s most insecure regions Michael has worked in a number of countries facing severe food insecurity and water shortages, and studied the impact of these challenges on local populations. His current focus is the security of the Gulf States, with a particular focus on Saudi Arabia as it tries to transition away from a hydrocarbon dominated economy, to a more sustainable and environmentally secure future. Michael is also Chairman of East Putney Conservatives, and a regular campaigner and contributor to local party events in the London area.
Emily leads our work with our Parliamentary Oversight Committee, which is an integral part of promoting pragmatic climate action in Parliament. She is also a key player in our events calendar. In her career, Emily currently works as a Parliamentary Researcher for a Conservative MP and has been a leading figure in her constituency and local campaigns.
Max has been involved in the Conservative party for many years holding active roles in numerous General and local election campaigns. As a keen campaigner Max seeks to promote environmentalism through his work in education, trade and health policy. Formerly Max served as Deputy-Director of the Conservative Middle East Council before becoming Campaign Manager to Theo Clarke MP in the 2019 General Election. Max now works in trade and health policy with The Rt Hon Stephen Dorrell at Dorson Group.
